The installer will be responsible for the following key tasks:
- Site Survey and Preparation:
- Conduct a pre-installation site survey to assess the optimalplacement for the 5G cellular router, considering signal strength,power availability, and physical security.
- Identify and document any potential obstacles or challenges that mayimpact the installation.
- Ensure all necessary tools, equipment, and materials are available on-site.
- Hardware Installation:
- Physically mount the 5G cellular router in the designated location,ensuring proper ventilation and security.
- Connect the 5G cellular router to the power source and verifypower-on.
- Install and connect any necessary antennas to the 5G cellular router.
- Cabling and Connectivity:
- Run and manage network cables (e.g., Ethernet) between the 5
Gcellular router and the SD-WAN appliance. - Ensure all cable connections are secure and properly labeled.
- Verify physical connectivity between the devices.

- Initial Configuration:
- Access the administrative interface of the 5G cellular router and perform initial setup, including network settings, APN configuration,and basic security settings.
- Configure the 5G cellular router to obtain an IP address and establisha connection to the cellular network.
- Establish basic connectivity between the 5G cellular router and theSD-WAN appliance.
- SD-WAN Appliance Integration:
- Work in conjunction with remote network engineers (if applicable) to configure the SD-WAN appliance to recognize and utilize the 5
Gcellular router as a WAN link. - Verify successful establishment of the VPN tunnel or other secureconnectivity methods between the SD-WAN appliance and the centralnetwork.

- Testing and Validation:
- Perform comprehensive connectivity tests to ensure the 5G cellularrouter is successfully connected to the cellular network and the internet.
- Conduct speed tests and latency checks to verify performance of the5G link.
- Test failover mechanisms (if applicable) to ensure seamless transition between primary and secondary WAN links.
- Verify data flow between end-user devices, the 5G cellular router,and the SD-WAN appliance.
- Documentation:
- Document all installation details, including router placement, signalstrength readings, IP addresses, configuration settings, and any challenges encountered.
- Create a detailed network diagram illustrating the connectivitybetween the 5G cellular router and the SD-WAN appliance.
Skills & Qualifications
- 1 Proven experience in network hardware installation and troubleshooting. Familiarity with cellular technologies (3G
- 2 4G
- 3 5G) and their respectivehardware.
Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP - 4 routing
- 5 switching). Experience with SD-WAN technologies and appliances is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
