Construction Technician

Our team of Construction Technicians work within the Mills Property Home Services department to complete a variety of projects for not only our properties, but also residential home owners and commercial businesses. They specialize in a wide variety of projects. No two days are the same with new tasks and challenges presented daily and, as a result, the opportunity to learn and grow in many areas.

To excel in this position, you must be an outstanding problem-solver with exceptional communication and organizational skills with a background in construction, maintenance, carpentry or finishing work.

As a Construction Technician you will be responsible to complete a variety of construction and repair projects as a member of the Home Services Team.

Construction Technician performs construction, carpentry, and maintenance duties as directed from the Maintenance Foreman. This person will also be a front-line representative of the company. Construction Technician must have adequate verbal and written skills.

Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to):

  • Responding to work order project requests
  • Remodeling, repairing, and building in residential and commercial settings
  • Operating and maintaining company vehicle and equipment
  • Greeting and communicating with the public professionally

Construction Technician will complete and follow-up on a wide variety of tasks and items as may be assigned/or necessary to fulfill job duties and will work cooperatively and comply with all company standards, policy and procedures, and will be conducted professionally, consistently and safely.

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Requirements:
Minimum of 2-3 years of Construction, Maintenance, Carpentry or Finishing experience required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders.
