When will I work?

The primary work hours for this position are 6:00am to 6:00pm, Friday through Sunday, with overtime required as needed.

Where is this opportunity located?

This position is located in Brookings, South Dakota in our Facilities department.

What will the work look like for me?

You'll keep Daktronics factories running smoothly and without incident. You'll do this by:

• Performing scheduled preventative maintenance on automated equipment.
• Making emergency repairs to electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Training peers to perform maintenance tasks.
• Communicating effectively over the phone to repair equipment.
• Performing other duties as assigned and as needed to meet customer expectations.

Because you'll bring a unique perspective to maintenance, you'll impact operational excellence by:

• Evaluating and improving preventative maintenance programs.
• Operating automated equipment.
• Inputting details into work orders on work performed and materials consumed.
• Contributing to discussions regarding new equipment purchases, processes, and materials.
• Maintaining records of maintenance procedures and parts.

What are the pay and perks?

The typical hiring range for this position is$31.00 to $36.00 per hour based on the location of South Dakota.

This includes both base pay and an applicable shift increment. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including relevant education, experiences, location, and applicable local legislation.

To be
considered for the Machine Maintenance Technician position, we require the following:

• Two-year Associate degree in Electrical, Robotics, Mechatronics, Diesel Mechanics, Energy Technology, ora similar technical field is required.
• Demonstrated ability in problem solving and troubleshooting.
• Ability to follow work plans and prioritize work orders, escalating issues when needed.
• Regularly and reliably work the scheduled hours, including scheduled overtime.
• Consistently complete quality work in a timely manner.
• Good communication skills, including technical writing.
• Willingness to learn and capable of learning quickly.
• Willingness to receive feedback and make changes.
• Ability to successfully participate as a member of a team and interact with a variety of personnel in a positive, professional manner.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision, effectively exercising discretion and independent judgment.
