Homestead Building Supplies in Brookings, SD is seeking a Yard Worker / CDL Driver. In this role, you will help organize and load materials in the yard, as well as safely deliver building materials to job sites.
Responsibilities:- Deliver lumber and building materials to customers.
- Load and unload materials using a forklift/moffitt.
- Verify delivery tickets and ensure accuracy before leaving the yard.
- Assist in pulling, staging, and organizing materials for outgoing orders.
- Pick up job-site returns and deliver materials back to the lumberyard as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe yard.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Provide friendly and professional service to customers and contractors.
- Follow all DOT, company and safety regulations.
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record.
- Forklift experience preferred, but not required
- Previous experience in a lumber yard or construction-related field a plus
