The Public Schools of Brookline seeks a High School Math Teacher. This is a full-time position.

• Teach 4 or 5 sections of mathematics.
• Demonstrate appropriate long- and short-term preparation for classroom instruction.
• Hold high expectations for all students.
• Employ a variety of teaching techniques, strategies, materials, and technology to maximize the learning of each student, individually and in group settings.
• Continuously assess student progress, providing students and caregivers with specific feedback. Use assessment results to adjust instruction as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to examine student data, plan curriculum, and ensure appropriate learning experiences for all students.
• Establish and maintain a functional, attractive, orderly, and safe classroom environment that is conducive to student learning and builds a sense of community.

• DESE Math certification, 9-12.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Strong math content knowledge.
• Knowledge about high school pedagogy and developmental needs of students.
• Ability to assess learning using a variety of methods.
• A strong foundation in student-centered pedagogy.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• SEI endorsement.

• Master’s Degree.

• Master degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
