Job DescriptionJob Description: The Public Schools of Brookline seeks a Math Specialist working at the Roland Hayes School. This is a full-time position.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Supporting K-8 classroom teachers with understanding of math content and pedagogical knowledge through collaborative coaching, unit planning, differentiated instruction, and ongoing assessment.
- Supporting a diverse range of learners from interventions to extensions in mathematics in the classroom and small groups.
- Maintaining a mathematically literate school culture.
- Collaborating with other math specialists to review curricular resources, design professional development, and analyze data.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong Math content knowledge.
- Massachusetts Teacher Certification with SEI endorsement or additional license in ESL.
- Math Certification, 1-6 or 5-8. Teachers who have certification in grades 1-6 and have passed the 1-6 math MTEL will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree.
