Responsibilities- Create a warm, caring, and safe environment: build nurturing relationships with students, provide age‑appropriate supervision, and set clear classroom rules and routines.
- Implement lesson plans: teach Math and Science to middle‑school boys, align curriculum with Massachusetts state standards, and design engaging activities that capture student interest.
- Monitor and communicate student progress: give feedback to students and families, maintain accurate records, and keep families informed of academic, social, and behavioral development.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Head of School.
- Prior successful experience with middle‑school students.
- Strong commitment to differentiated instruction.
- Passion for educating children.
- Creativity and ability to think outside the box when challenging young minds.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
Position Type: Part‑time
Hours: Monday–Thursday 1:00–5:00 p.m.;
Friday 12:00–1:30/2:30 p.m.
Salary: $24,000–$32,000 per year, commensurate with experience

About Torah Academy: Torah Academy is a preK–8 school that has served the Boston area for 40 years. Students spend mornings studying and celebrating Kodesh, including Hebrew, Torah, and Jewish laws and customs, while afternoons involve general studies by grade level. The school emphasizes supportive professional environments, continuous learning, and advancement opportunities. It has separate boys and girls divisions, with students divided by gender starting in first grade.
