POSITION OVERVIEW

BCBAs will collaborate with school IEP teams to determine students’ needs and address the generalization of skills across settings. They will provide consultation to teachers and/or families as dictated in each student’s IEP, create behavior plans, and ensure all staff implementing the plans are trained and supported.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing supervision and consultation to home‑based ABA paraprofessionals
  • Developing and supervising home‑based programming
  • Delivering in‑home services and providing targeted support for students experiencing school refusal
  • Accompanying classes and/or conducting site visits to community‑based locations, including internships, field trips, and volunteer placements to support student programming
  • Providing training and consultation to parents and guardians
  • Collaborating with school IEP teams to determine students’ needs and address generalization of skills across settings, conducting behavioral observations and FBAs when appropriate
  • Developing behavior support plans and ensuring all staff members are appropriately trained
  • Consulting to one or more schools in Brookline regarding students’ behavioral needs
  • Developing data‑collection materials and analyzing data
  • Providing consultation and professional development to staff regarding best practices to promote positive behavior
  • Safety Care trained and/or willingness to be trained
  • Maintaining current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment

QUALIFICATIONS – PREFERRED

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification required
  • Massachusetts – Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst (LABA) license required
  • Experience working with high school and/or post‑secondary students with diverse learning needs, including those with emotional/behavioral needs and autism spectrum disorder
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Experience with community‑based instruction, life‑skills, and transition planning preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in both school and community‑based environments

SCHEDULE

  • July 6, 2026 – August 13, 2026
  • All staff report for a full day on July 6th for orientation and classroom setup. Students begin on July 7th.
  • 9:00 – 2:00, Monday – Thursday – hours, site, and schedule dependent upon caseload.
  • Delivering in‑home services and providing targeted support for students experiencing school refusal. Work hours may vary and offer flexibility depending on the home service schedule.
  • Accompanying classes and/or conducting site visits to community‑based locations, including internships, field trips, and volunteer placements to support student programming.
  • Providing virtual (Zoom) services when needed.
  • Additional 30 minutes per day for planning.
  • One additional day, to be completed prior to the end of the program, allotted for progress report writing.

ALL EMPLOYEES MUST BE VACCINATED.
