Position Overview
Provide consultation and direct Speech and Language services to K‑8 students who require an Extended School Year (ESY), per their Individualized Education Program (IEP). Student population includes students with expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language needs, articulation needs, and complex developmental and learning profiles, some of whom use AAC devices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and provide small group instruction for students to maintain speech‑language skills per the IEP
- Collaborate with other related service providers on co‑treatment planning if appropriate
- Coordinate session times with other ESY staff and/or parents and guardians
- Possible travel between sites
- Assess and communicate progress with teachers and other service providers during ESY and via written progress notes at the end of the program
Qualifications
- Massachusetts DESE Speech Language and Hearing Disorders license required
- CF may apply; CCC‑SLP preferred
- Experience working with students who use AAC required
- Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment
Schedule
- July 6, 2026 – July 30, 2026
- 9:00 – 12:00, Monday – Thursday
- All staff report for a full day on July 6th for orientation and classroom set‑up. Students begin on July 7th
- Additional 30 minutes per day for planning
- SLPs will submit hours on their timesheet for an additional 5.5 hours between July 10th and August 12th for writing student progress reports.
