Job Description

Do you bring out the star in your students? Our motto at Taylor Robinson Music is "Learn to Play From the Heart" and we are looking for private music instructors who share this philosophy.

We do not have a brick‑and‑mortar studio in the Brookline area, but we have students needing teachers ASAP. Lessons may occur in the students' homes, in your own home or studio/rehearsal space, or via webcam. While webcam lessons are requested, they represent only a small percentage of our student base; most students prefer in‑person lessons. Therefore we need local instructors who can host students or who are willing to travel within the Brookline area.

You would be paid on an independent contractor basis between $20 and $30 per hour, depending on travel time, your experience/education, and your student retention rate. You have the freedom to set your own schedule, curriculum, and lesson plans, and Taylor Robinson Music handles advertising, marketing, SEO, and billing to support you.

If you work well with kids, love teaching, communicate effectively with our office, and are organized and punctual, Taylor Robinson Music could be the right place for you.

  • Formal music training is not mandatory.
  • But you must have either a degree in music, be enrolled in a music program, have professional performing experience, or have previous teaching experience.
  • Being a travel‑ready, independent contractor who can manage self‑schedule and client communication is essential.

For additional details, please apply at .

To address COVID‑19 precautions, students generally prefer in‑person lessons. You are required to wear a mask, sanitize your hands, and practice social distancing where applicable.
