Job Description

Maimonides School, a Modern Orthodox Jewish Day School in Brookline, MA, is hiring a Hebrew Teacher to teach a combination of classes in Elementary, Middle, and Upper School grades. The role emphasizes cultural immersion and dual curriculum in Judaic and general studies.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Hebrew (Ivrit B’Ivrit) across multiple grade levels.
  • Plan, build, execute, and evaluate student‑centered classroom lessons based on Judaic Studies and Hebrew curricula.
  • Create an environment encouraging participation, recognizing individual student needs, and providing flexibility.
  • Integrate Hebrew and Israel into other school areas through interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Work with a diverse team of educators and administrators to carry out the school mission.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with students, parents, and the broader community.
Qualifications
  • Native‑like fluency in Hebrew.
  • Experience teaching Israeli Language (Ivrit) at any grade level.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2‑4 years of teaching experience, including Hebrew as a second language.
  • Commitment to professional growth and continuous learning.
  • Native Hebrew speaker is a plus.
Salary & Benefits

This part‑time position requires 20‑30 hours per week and offers an annual salary of $40,000 – $50,000, commensurate with experience.
