Position: Spring 2026 Teaching Opportunity in Mathematics (Linear Algebra) Position

Messina College at Boston College is inviting applications for Part-Time Faculty positions in Mathematics on an open and rolling basis.

Messina College is seeking instructors to teach one section of Linear Algebra for the Spring 2026 semester.

The Spring term runs from January 12 through April 30, 2026. The section is currently scheduled for Monday/Wednesday/Friday and may run at the following times:

The expected per course rate (paid over 4 months) for this position ranges from $7,840-$8,860. The actual pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on the number of cumulative courses taught at Boston College.

Qualifications

Candidates should have experience teaching Mathematics at the college level. A Ph.D. or M.A. in a relevant field or advanced graduate standing will be considered.

Classes will be offered on the Brookline campus of Boston College. Part time faculty receive a competitive salary on a per course basis. In addition, part time faculty at Messina College have shared office space to prepare lectures and meet with students. Faculty are encouraged to designate additional time for office hours to meet with students seeking additional support.
