Overview
The Company is seeking a highly motivated, self-starter in the specialty pharmacy management services space. We seek experienced pharmacy technicians who are registered with the State of employment. Nationally certified as a CPhT is preferred but not required. The role requires independence and the ability to build strong, credible relationships with patients, clinicians and Shields staff. Ideal candidates are results-oriented, with a focus on high patient quality and service, detail-oriented, with strong administrative/organizational skills, and comfortable in in-person and phone interactions.
The ability to work as a member of a close-knit team is essential.
Provides integrated support to patients and pharmacists with a hands-on approach to total quality patient care. Works closely with patients to deliver a full continuum of medication adherence support using our tools and applications. Encourages patients of specialty clinics to utilize the pharmacy to benefit from its services. The Pharmacy Liaison will be located in a medical center clinic and should seamlessly integrate with the clinic team (doctors, nurses, staff, etc.).
Job Duties- Provide comprehensive medication management services to hospital patients with a full suite of care.
- Work seamlessly with hospital clinicians to serve patients face-to-face and over the phone as part of the clinic team.
- Educate prospective patients on how hospital services improve overall care.
- Support outpatient retail and specialty prescription medication needs.
- Grow the specialty pharmacies patient population.
- Keep patients on track with medication regimens through outbound outreach and adherence check-ups; secure refill prescriptions.
- Communicate effectively with the centralized Patient Service Center regarding refill, zero-fill, monthly outstanding reports and appointment lists.
- Help develop new processes to ensure smooth operations and patient care.
- Identify medications requiring special storage or handling (e.g., hazardous or refrigerated medications).
- Identify supplies necessary for select medications (e.g., sharps containers, needles/syringes, alcohol swabs, Band-Aids).
- Answer, resolve and triage inbound inquiries.
- Assist with refill reminder calls under pharmacist supervision.
- Resolve insurance issues, including prior authorizations, and assist patients with financial assistance forms.
- Ensure appropriate documentation in all required systems and tracking mechanisms.
- Manage, organize, and update data using database applications.
- Apply observations to operational issues to improve productivity, quality, and customer service.
- Identify trends, resolve problems, and recommend and implement improvements.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and act as a value-added partner to stakeholders.
- Protect organizations value by keeping information confidential.
- Update knowledge through educational opportunities, publications, networks, and professional organizations.
- Willing to do whatever is necessary for the betterment of the Company.
- Other duties as assigned.
Strong interpersonal communication, ability to work independently with good judgement, strong verbal and written communication, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and the ability to learn other software; strong organizational/administrative skills are essential.

Experience / EducationRequired Licensure/Certification: Experienced pharmacy technician registered with the state. Nationally certified as a CPhT or equivalent is strongly preferred but not required. If additional licensure is needed, the applicant commits to obtaining it within an agreed timeframe. Continued employment depends on meeting these requirements.

Compensation & Equal OpportunityThis information is provided to promote pay transparency and equal employment opportunities. The salary range for this position is between $57,000.00 and $68,000.00 plus bonus, depending on experience, seniority, location, and other factors permitted by law.
