HRI Hospital is seeking Full Time Mental Health Advocates!

HRI Hospital is 66-bed psychiatric facility with adult inpatient services and several partial hospitalization programs. As a Mental Health Advocate, you will:

Monitor patient safety on the inpatient psychiatric units
Assist nursing staff with patient treatment procedures
Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment
Assist patients with activities of daily living
Provide routine patient care as required in a psychiatric environment
Document and communicate unusual or erratic changes in client behaviors
Assist with patient groups and activities

Qualifications Requirements

Experience &

Education:
- High School Diploma AND a minimum of 3 years of psychiatric experience

Bachelor’s degree in human services field or current student pursuing a Bachelor's degree AND 1 year of psychiatric experience
Other:
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Physical Fitness – Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be comfortable working with patients in acute psychiatric distress
