GENERAL

SUMMARY:

The Senior Associate for Operations & Strategic Planning is a unique position that works closely with the Associate Vice President of Operations & Strategic Planning, who is responsible for Prospect Research, Administration, and Fiscal & Regulatory Management, to execute strategies that will enhance the performance of the Philanthropy office and increase fundraising revenues to support Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s mission. Responsibilities

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the Associate Vice President; manage Associate Vice President’s calendar, mail, and office supplies, prepare correspondence, compile/create meeting agendas, and materials;
  • Manage the Senior Management Group’s (Philanthropy leadership) budget for the Associate Vice President and Senior Vice President, Chief Philanthropy Officer, including reconciling expense reports and P-card charges;
  • Reconcile and review P-card charges for the Prospect Research, Administration, and Fiscal & Regulatory Management Assistant Vice Presidents (3);
  • Proof all planning/reporting documents, draft/proof executive summaries of planning/reporting documents, and design and produce written material such as correspondence, charts, proposals, and PowerPoint presentations;
  • Support the Associate Vice President in preparing ad hoc reports for the Senior Vice President, Chief Philanthropy Officer;
  • Interact with donors, prospects, physicians, and Institute volunteers on confidential matters;
  • Provide back-up support to the Assistant Director to the Senior Vice President, Chief Philanthropy Officer.

Project Management Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the revision and circulation of various Division policies, including the Division Gift Policy Manual overseen by senior management;
  • Track the Division’s involvement with Faculty monthly and prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership;
  • Oversee the management of the Faculty and Staff Travel Tracker including training of staff, scheduling of strategy meetings, and production of reports and other materials;
  • Execute various strategic service projects that will result in a positive impact on the fundraising operation; these projects may be accomplished in coordination with the Prospect Research, Administration, and Fiscal & Regulatory Management teams.
