Nurse Educator Opportunity -
This is a temporary, 12 week position.
HRI Hospital is 66-bed psychiatric facility with adult inpatient services and several partial hospitalization programs. The Nurse Educator is responsible for promoting, planning, designing, coordinating and evaluating hospital-wide training and educational activities. Responsible for staff retention by providing on-site training and education. Serves as a liaison for hospital and agency staff. Maintains required educational and/or clinical competencies.
Responsibilities- Develops implements and evaluates programs based on results of annual survey of educational needs and to meet the needs of orientation, skills training, leadership and management training and continuing education.
- Teaches and/or coordinates in-service presentations relevant to the identified learning needs of the staff.
- Knowledgeable about patient care at all levels by making rounds attending staff meetings, and serving on appropriate committees; resource for psychiatric/medical care issues.
- Provides coverage on unit based on hospital needs and other related duties as required, including Nursing supervisor coverage.
- Effectively coordinates on-going staff education by floating to all units and providing real time education throughout the day.

Requirements
- MA RN License
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing Education;
Masters level board certified nurse educator preferred - 1 Year of nursing education experience required
- 2 years Inpatient psychiatric nursing experience preferred
