  • Big-city experience without getting lost in the crowd. Bordering Boston and serving a population that swells well beyond its resident count each day, Brookline officers handle everything from community policing and quality-of-life concerns to complex investigations and critical incidents.
  • Earn your place. Build your future. Whether your goal is Patrol, Detectives, K9, Motorcycles, Bike Patrol, Crisis Intervention, SRT, Negotiations, or another specialized assignment, Brookline provides opportunities for officers who are willing to put in the work.
  • Leadership that invests in people. Brookline’s command staff understands that strong departments are built by developing strong officers. From recruit to retirement, professional growth is part of the culture.
  • A department with pride. A community with expectations. Brookline residents expect professionalism, integrity, and service. Officers are trusted to solve problems, think independently, and represent the department with pride.
