Implement arts based program services, exhibitions, and sales. Provide individual and group studio facilitation to artists at Gateway Arts Studio Art Center. Through assessment and development of service delivery goals funding source requirements, work in partnership with artists to improve artistic skills and self-determination within the studios, as well as in artistic, social, and community activities.
In addition, Studio Art Specialist III positions provide expertise and leadership in one or more of the following areas, including, but not limited to:
Employment/Education, Paper Graphics, Painting, Fabric Arts, Weaving, Fibers, Folk Art, Pottery, Art Making, Sculpture, Jewelry, Sewing, Performance Arts, Writing, Exhibition, Documentation, Communication, Social Recreation, Rehabilitation, and/or Health, Wellness, and Life Skills.
The essential job duties/responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the information listed below:
• Utilize Outlook to plan adequate studio coverage and daily scheduling.
• Provide coverage/assistance, as needed, to support opening and closing of facility, staffing escorts into and out of facility, daily coverage responsibilities, and general upkeep and maintenance of the Studio Art Center.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and supervision. Provide assistance in the orientation of new staff and artists. Maintain ongoing communication with supervisor and co-workers to promote the reliable functioning of the Studio Art Center.
• Work at annual events during evenings or weekends, as assigned.
• Review Quality Behavioral Competencies at least twice a month. Participate, prepare, complete, and sustain all written documentation, data, drills, contracts, and trainings required by licensing, funding sources, and Vinfen, and mandated in the HCSIS state database.
• Promote a supportive and empowering service environment in which artists learn to advocate for themselves, make their own choices, take risks, and assume additional responsibilities within the Art Studios.
• Provide inspiration and direction for artists.
• Assist, teach, and supervise artists in all studio areas.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the studio on a daily basis.
• Document work produced to demonstrate achievement of Certification Indicators.
• Collaborate with staff on special projects.
• Assist with individuals with regards to skills training, to comply and meet reporting and contract requirements for GSE, CBDS, Autism, MRC, CBES, MCB, SHIP, and other specialized grant, private or public funding or independent artistic study.
• Document activities, as required.
• Perform other related duties, as required.

Job Duties and Responsibilities Studio Art Specialist II & III:
• Case manage individuals with responsibility of maintaining the records and contact information, preparing for annual and team meetings, writing reports, and working on behalf of the individual and coordinate with the artist, family members, residential supports, service coordinators, and other provider agencies and affiliates. Participate in case management meetings, trainings, and supervision, and monitor attendance.
• Facilitate studio production and manage all aspects of studio operations, including, but not limited to: ordering materials and supplies, producing/finishing/collecting/pricing/stocking and storing artwork.
• Develop production plans for the studio.
• Responsible for directing staff who assist in the studio.
• Manage daily scheduling of artists, staff, and meetings in real time
-oversee and problem solve daily scheduling conflicts and programming issues using Outlook Calendar. Inform staff of changes as they occur and ensure studio programming runs smoothly throughout the day.
Execute and document two or more of the following:
o Community Membership:
Field trips/all aspects of organizing Artist of the Month, board/facilitating selection of monthly artist, 1:1 outings, and small group community outings.
o Prepare and facilitate Community Meetings and Staff Meetings.
o Oversee staffing assistants in studio area and submit supervision paperwork, as required.
