LEAP Activities Instructor

Overview

The Brooklyn Center Community School (BCCS) District seeks applicants to join our team for the  school year as a STEP/ LEAP Activities Instructor. STEP/ LEAP Activities Instructors lead groups of up to 25 youth in high-quality enrichment activities in areas such as youth leadership, art, music, physical activity, entrepreneurship, and more.

Ideal candidates will possess the skills to build genuine relationships with students, encourage social-emotional learning through mentorship, thoughtfully plan and implement impactful activities, and set boundaries and address behavior concerns with students.

Positions available at Brooklyn Center Elementary (BCE) and Brooklyn Center Middle & High School (BCS).

Program dates: 9/21/2026 - 05/27/2027

Available shifts:
Monday through Thursday, 3:00–4:15 pm at BCE;
Monday through Thursday, 6:00–7:45 am and 3:30–5:00 pm fts are flexible and will be scheduled with the Site Coordinator.

Previous experience leading activities with elementary and/or secondary school students.
