Principal Electrical Hardware (Leads) Engineer

Cardialen, Inc. is an early-stage medical device company dedicated to advancing implantable cardioversion and defibrillation using low energy for use as a first‑line therapy to restore normal heart rhythm and may reduce the potential for high‑energy defibrillation shocks.

We are looking for a Principal Electrical Hardware Engineer to conceptualize integration of novel Multipulse Therapy (MPT) into commercially available Implantable Defibrillators & Cardiac Resynchronization devices. The role involves working with a cross‑functional team of engineers, scientists and clinicians to review data from ongoing clinical trials and make enhancements to the external hardware platform being used in the trial. The engineer will also generate and file IP in this innovative technology area.

The successful candidate should be passionate about advancing technologies to enhance patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Conceptualize and integrate Multipulse Therapy (MPT) into implantable defibrillators & cardiac resynchronization devices.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to review clinical trial data and enhance external hardware platforms.
  • Generate and file intellectual property for novel technology developments.
  • Lead design and evaluation of sensing, detection, and therapy delivery circuits at the board/system level.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience designing implantable defibrillators and cardiac resynchronization devices.
  • B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering (M.S. preferred).
  • Experience designing sensing, detection, and therapy delivery circuits at board/class level.
  • Proficient in analyzing heart rhythms.
  • Strong flexible working style in a dynamic small company culture.
