Summary
As a 1st Shift Mechanical Technician at Reviva, you will be a key contributor to our engine remanufacturing excellence. In this hands‑on role, you will work within a supportive team to disassemble and prepare core diesel engine components. Based at our location in Brooklyn Center, MN, you’ll utilize precision tools and hoists to ensure our remanufacturing process starts with the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Engine Disassembly:
Perform full teardowns of complex diesel engines using impact wrenches, air chisels, and specialized hand tools according to established SOPs. - Safe Component Handling:
Operate overhead hoists, lifts, and carts to transport heavy engine components to cleaning stations while strictly adhering to safety protocols. - Quality Assurance:
Execute meticulous inspections during disassembly to identify and document core component integrity. - Team
Collaboration:
Partner with fellow technicians to optimize production flow and consistently meet daily output goals. - Workspace Stewardship:
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with 5S and safety regulations.
- 1+ year of mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools (e.g., impact wrenches, drills, torque guns).
- Ability to stand for 8 hours and repetitively lift up to 70 lbs.
- Strong communication skills and a "Right the First Time" quality mindset.
- Preferred:
Prior experience with diesel engine teardown or assembly.
Shift: 5AM-1:30PM
Fast‑paced, hands‑on manufacturing setting. The environment on the shop floor is usually loud, hot and humid in the summer months and involves standing on cement floors with exposure to chemicals and metal particles. PPE is always required on manufacturing floor.
