Coffee Roasting Technician -2nd Shift

Join our team as a Production Technician – Roaster and play a key role in producing the high-quality coffee our customers love. In this hands-on manufacturing role, you'll operate roasting equipment, monitor roast profiles, maintain quality standards, and ensure every batch meets our commitment to excellence.

Working in a fast-paced production environment, you'll combine attention to detail with technical skill to keep operations running safely and efficiently. Whether you're experienced in manufacturing or looking to grow your career in coffee production, we'll provide the training and support to help you master the roasting process and build your expertise.

Schedule:

This position works 2nd Shift, Monday
- Friday 3:30pm-12:00amPay: $20-22/hr

What You Will Do:

Operate roasting and grinding equipment to meet daily production schedules.

Maintain top-tier quality and food safety by following all QC checks, documentation, and procedures.

Collaborate closely with your team to meet goals safely and efficiently.

Communicate equipment or process issues to the appropriate departments for quick resolution.

Take ownership of cleanliness, maintenance, and continuous improvement at your station.

Taste, evaluate, and refine—participate in cuppings and sensory sessions to keep every roast true to its profile.

Participate in development opportunities to grow your technical roasting and production expertise.

Who You Are:

Required:

A hands-on, detail-oriented problem solver with a passion for coffee and craftsmanship.

A dependable team player who takes pride in precision and quality, and is comfortable working independently.

Adaptable, motivated, and always eager to learn something new.

Someone who values safety, collaboration, and doing things the right way—every time.

Preferred:

A strong interest—or prior experience—in the coffee industry (barista, roaster, or similar) is a plus. Prior experience with Caribou or Peet's Coffee is a big plus.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Exposures:

The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, in addition to the following:

Able to work 8-hour shifts while standing, lifting, bending, and reaching

Must be able to work on your feet for over 9 straight hours

Able to perform physical tasks that are repetitive and lift up to 30 lbs on a regular basis

Must be able to lift 80 pounds 20% of the shift

Must be able to endure constant leaning and bending during shift

Must be able to handle/move up to 750-pound bins on casters

The environmental exposures for this position are:

Airborne particles, fumes, high places, moving parts, muscular strain, noise, odors, high temperatures
