Job Overview
Box Office Coordinator (Office & Admin Specialist Intermediate) – Central Lakes College Brainerd. Part‑time, classified, non‑exempt. Salary: $20.76‑$29.22 per hour ($44,099‑$58,485 annually).

- Oversee the business operations of the Central Lakes College Performing Arts Center, which includes the Brainerd Community Theatre and Cultural Arts Series.
- Manage customer service functions for the theatre box office, maintain the ticketing system, ensure accurate accounting for all receipts, and establish box‑office procedures to support profitability and overall success.
- Assist in the selection of Cultural Arts Series events and develop and implement marketing and promotional strategies.
- Coordinate fundraising and resource‑development initiatives and manage the detailed planning and execution of each production and event.
- Skill in data entry sufficient to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Knowledge of standard computer software programs (word processing, spreadsheets, databases) sufficient to create, modify, and protect files.
- Basic math skills sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers.
- Basic accounting procedures sufficient to prepare itemized statements, bills or invoices, and record amounts due.
- Customer‑service practices and principles sufficient to identify each customer’s needs and meet quality standards for services.
- Skill in directing the work activities of state employees to ensure standards, deadlines, and procedures are met.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of private information according to law, rules, policies, and procedures and ensure student employees supervised by this position adhere to the same.
- High degree of analytical, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written); prioritize and schedule tasks.
- Detail‑oriented to ensure accuracy and integrity of information.
- Filing skills sufficient to file and retrieve data manually and electronically.
- Ability to relate on an interpersonal level with the public, vendors, students, agents, and artists.
- Proactive, takes initiative, resolves problems, follows through, and manages multiple priorities to meet goals timely.
- Strong, cooperative working relationship with internal and external clients.
- Experience in fundraising, event planning, and marketing.
- Knowledge of ticket‑management software.
- Knowledge of performing‑arts from an audience/consumer perspective.
