Teacher - Social Studies (Long-Term Substitute)

Job Summary: Inspire and prepare each scholar with confidence, courage, and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; engage in a lifetime of learning. Provide instruction and support in the curriculum areas for which employed; make appropriate and equitable use of instructional resources and technologies; implement the goals and objectives of the district, school and/or program; maintain contact and communication with guardians/caregivers;
design, deliver, and assess curriculum according to district guidelines; provide in-person, synchronous and asynchronous learning when applicable; collaborate with others; and participate in district and building leadership activities.
Responsibilities:
- Teach Social Studies to grades 6, 7, and 8.
- Develop, deliver, and assess curriculum in alignment with district guidelines.
- Use instructional resources and technologies effectively to support student learning.
- Maintain communication with guardians/caregivers regarding student progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in district and school leadership activities.
