To inspire and prepare each scholar with confidence, courage, and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; and engage in a lifetime of learning. Provide classroom instruction across multiple classrooms; make appropriate and equitable use of instructional resources and technologies; implement the goals and objectives of the district and the school; maintain contact and communication with teachers, staff, school, district leaders, and guardians/caregivers;
deliver and assess curriculum according to district guidelines; follow system policies regarding scholar conduct and discipline; follow professional practices consistent with school and system policies in working with scholars, scholar records, guardians/caregivers, and colleagues; provide in-person, synchronous, and asynchronous learning when applicable; work collaboratively with others. Willing to participate in district, building, and department leadership activities. This continuous substitute position will be at Park Brook Elementary School, with the possibility to be moved to another site if no substitute positions are open at Park Brook that day.
Assigned building may change through the year based on system needs.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Tier 3 or 4 Minnesota teaching license (K-6 Elementary Education preferred). If not currently licensed, must be willing and eligible to apply for and receive at least a Tier 2 license.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
Hourly wage: $37.00 (Schedule D rate of pay). Minimum contract days as outlined in the Continuous Substitute MOU.
