The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry herine University invites applications for a full-time Visiting Faculty Teaching Fellow position.
This role will:
- Teach lab and lecture courses including organic chemistry I & II and general chemistry for the health sciences lecture and labs.
- Engage in faculty development and mentoring opportunities in teaching undergraduate chemistry.
- Attend dept meetings, help maintain/troubleshoot instrumentation used in lab courses, contribute to assessment goals of the dept, interface with other chem faculty to understand our student population, attend chem seminar.
- Perform research or engage in scholarship, with or without student involvement.
Minimum Qualifications:
- MS, some field of chemistry (preferably organic chemistry), or in PhD chemistry program (preferably organic chemistry) and ABD
- some university level teaching experience (preferably lecture, but also will accept lab only teaching experience)
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD (organic chemistry)
- organic chemistry lecture course teaching experience

Compensation: Annual wage is $52,214 - $58,015 depending on qualifications and experience.
