This position focuses on serving as an Emotional Behavior Disorder (EBD) Center-based Special Education Teacher, working onsite with students at an elementary school renowned for its emphasis on mathematics, science, and children’s engineering.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with a dedicated team to deliver targeted support for students requiring specialized instruction and behavioral interventions. You'll engage with exciting curriculum resources such as Project Lead the Way Launch, encouraging creativity, exploration, and hands‑on learning, all while making a significant impact in the lives of your students.

Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or
  4) required—please be ready to provide this with your resume
• Experience or strong interest in working with students in EBD programs
• Solid understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Skill in using proactive strategies to foster positive student behaviors
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning and behavioral needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction for K-5 students identified with emotional and behavioral needs
• Utilize evidence-based teaching and behavioral management practices to support student growth
• Collaborate with support staff, classroom teachers, and families to build a supportive, inclusive environment
• Maintain accurate documentation for student progress and IEPs
• Foster student engagement through innovative math, science, and engineering activities

This role offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in a dynamic, specialty elementary setting Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, from September 2026 through June 2027.

Compensation for this position ranges from $25.00 to $39.00.
