Biomerics Brooklyn Park is hiring for a New Product Development Technician. The NPD Technician will support the engineering staff in the design and building of medical device prototypes, sustaining engineering, and the testing of existing medical devices.
Job Responsibilities- Execute building and testing of prototypes/products per engineering instructions.
- Produce and inspect products at an acceptable quality level. Assist project teams in establishing specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct product testing and collect data to medical device standards.
- Must be able to read, understand, and apply established procedures.
- Maintain orderly and safe working conditions as well as perform all duties in accordance with established procedures and good manufacturing procedures.
- Responsible for the accuracy of Traceability Forms used during the manufacturing of the products.
- Operate specific equipment as assigned by engineering per accepted work instructions at acceptable efficiency levels.
- Regularly perform set-ups and adjustments of equipment to which assigned.
- Able to establish good working relationships with all levels of operations.
- Able to cross-train co-workers when required.
- Assist in development of process documentation (manufacturing procedures, test methods, trace forms, inspection procedures, etc)
- Other assignments as requested.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-5 years of experience. Medical Device manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).
