Responsibilities- Lead project teams of 2-3 engineers and provide technical expertise and project oversight.
- Design and plan production for civil engineering projects including site plan layouts, grading and drainage plans, site paving plans, site utility design, and associated civil engineering activities.
- Prepare stormwater management designs, calculations, and reports to meet local government agency standards.
- Coordinate design with other engineering disciplines and architectural project leads.
- Prepare specifications and contract documents.
- Assist project teams with procurement of site development approvals and permits.
- Prepare quantity take-off calculations and cost estimates, when required.
- Perform complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection, and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures.
- Plan and develop projects or design activities that have significant impact on major company programs as needed.
- Serve as a Project Manager on larger projects, although project management is not the sole focus of this position.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and other civil engineering software.
- Willingness to work with and lead project teams.
- A minimum of 10 years of design experience managing various civil/site design projects.
- Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position (e.g., PE or P.Eng).
- Project engineering and project management experience.
- Attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture.
