Top Line Financial Credit Union has been a member-owned financial services cooperative since 1935. We are looking for outgoing individuals to join our Investment team that is dedicated to building life-long relationships to help our members reach and manage their financial goals.
A successfulInvestment Assistantwill be able to do:
- Promotes Top Line Financial Credit Union culture, philosophy and values ensuring quality and teamwork within the department and throughout the organization
- Contributes to quality efforts at the Credit Union by putting member service above all else. Commits to strategic and corporate goals by delivering Top Line personal service to all internal and external customers and providing support in the department and throughout the organization.
- Leads by example in setting the highest standard of Top Line’s Red Book service, first and foremost, for credit union members, and also for business partners and for internal clients.
- Goals and expectations of position:
- Prepares written letters, memos and documentation without errors
- Answers phone third ring
- Consistently maintains department records and files
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality at all times
- Performs assigned tasks on schedule and in a professional manner
- Prioritizes workload
- Responds to client telephone calls within 2 hours
- Consistently promotes a positive attitude between the credit union and employees
- Completes at least one (1) FNIC online training class per quarter
- Reports to work station on time, ready to work on a daily basis
- Is punctual in returning on time from breaks and lunches
- Provides administrative support to the Investment Representatives. Generates quality correspondence utilizing appropriate software. Utilizes financial services industry database software as directed by the Manager.
- Coordinates seminars and appointments for the Investment Representatives. Prepares packets and other correspondence and disseminates as appropriate.
- Organizes and prepares investment documents required to perfect investment purchases and insurance sales. Reviews and completes applications to ensure accuracy. Acts as custodian of client files and ensures all documents and statements are filed in an orderly fashion.
- Services accounts and follows up as necessary within scope of license.
- Implements and manages departmental member service plan to include newsletters, letters, appointment schedules, etc., as defined.
- High level of member contact in person, by telephone, etc., and advises clients on various investment products and answers question within scope of license. Coordinates compliance adherence and records.
- Works cohesively with other credit union departments as necessary to complete assigned tasks.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- General knowledge of the securities/insurance industry.
- Must be able to work independently and be able to work flexible hours.
- May need general securities and insurance licensee requirements.
- High level of competence with Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Ability to recognize and maintain highly confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Business school, Vo-tech or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Strong detail orientation and excellent organizational follow-through skills essential.
- Ability to communicate at a highly professional level.
- Present a professional image as representative of the credit union.
- Ability to work effectively with people in a diverse environment that encompasses regular deadlines, where change is always possible and flexibility is required.
