The City of Brooklyn Park is currently accepting applications for the position of Firefighter.
Responsibilities- Perform hazardous firefighting and rescue tasks under arduous conditions, requiring strenuous exertion under Immediate Dangerous to Life or Health (IDLH) conditions.
- Remove persons from danger and administer emergency medical treatment to ill and injured people.
- Conduct routine duties at the fire station, including cleaning, maintaining, and repairing property and equipment, as well as training and fire‑prevention activities.
- Assume secondary assignments that may require special abilities and knowledge gained through experience and training.
- Prioritize building positive relationships through public education, community engagement, and outreach efforts.
- Actively host a diverse range of public education events to engage and educate the population of Brooklyn Park.
- Assist with pre‑planning efforts to maintain familiarity with the community.
