Network Technician

Location:
St. Paul, MN

Duration: 6 Months plus

• Install, replace, and maintain physical network switches, ports, and related hardware in enterprise environments.
• Support deployments, installations, and troubleshooting of wired and wireless network infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues; document technical work using various formats (notes, pictures, spreadsheets).
• Transport, stage, and install network hardware and equipment at multiple onsite locations (indoor/outdoor), including reading blueprints and floor plans.
• Collaborate and communicate technical issues and work status with engineers, technical teams, and project stakeholders.
• Support System Engineers in network troubleshooting and infrastructure deployment activities; assist with equipment layout and installation.
• Ensure proper identification, securing, and delivery of network hardware and infrastructure.
• Promote a positive, equitable, and culturally respectful work environment.
• Provide knowledge transfer and cross-training to team members; maintain strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Work independently and collaboratively across technical teams, often traveling between multiple field locations.
• Apply experience with low voltage power, multi-media connectivity, Solar Winds, and work in large enterprise or public sector environments.
• Possess or pursue relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft Azure AZ-900).
• Adhere to safety and quality standards throughout all installation and support activities.
