Cloud Security Engineer - Risk Reduction

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join our team, focusing on risk reduction within public cloud platforms.

This role offers the opportunity to drive critical remediation efforts and enhance security solutions in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities

• Develop and implement mitigation plans to address high-priority cloud security issues across Google Cloud Platform, Azure, and AWS.
• Coordinate the rotation of mismanaged cloud secrets in collaboration with engineering and infrastructure teams.
• Identify root causes of security issues and implement strategies to prevent recurrence in future deployments.
• Validate the effectiveness of remediation efforts and collaborate with partner teams to ensure successful outcomes.
• Stay updated on evolving technologies and best practices in cloud security to enhance overall team performance.

Skills

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficiency in writing automation scripts and pipelines for cloud environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, particularly in Terraform for complex environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges independently.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey Agile concepts and collaborate with team members.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Azure or AWS cloud platforms.
• Experience using Git Hub or Atlantis for version control and collaboration.
• Background in cloud security practices and principles.
• Ability to anticipate potential issues and outages in proposed remediation plans.
