DC Assistant Supervisor - Shipping

Compensation

Pay Range: $53,926.00 – $79,944.00. The actual hourly rate will be equal to or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance, and premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

• Direct the daily outbound operations of the shipping/loading department within a distribution center.
• Assist the Shipping/Loading Supervisor with overseeing all aspects of the shipping/loading department.
• Ensure daily compliance with company operations, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with operations and DC managers to maintain payroll figures, budgeting, and productivity metrics.
• Conduct scheduled evaluations of team members.
• Provide leadership, training, and guidance throughout the department to maintain high productivity and morale.
• Work with managers to establish annual goals and development plans.
• Coordinate with the human resources supervisor and operations manager to ensure effective recruiting, hiring, and training practices.
• Assist operations and DC managers in preparing annual capital expenditure listings for budgeting purposes.
• Obtain approval for departmental expenditures as required.
• Maintain safety standards and identify unsafe practices and situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Excellent leadership abilities focused on customer service.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and match numerical and alpha characters quickly and accurately.
• Basic computer skills.
• College degree or logistics certification (desired).
• 2+ years of previous supervisory experience (desired).
• Completion of O’Reilly supervisor training program (desired).
• Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish (highly desired).
• Advanced computer skills (desired).
