Southview Design is seeking top talent to join our team as an Irrigation Operations Manager. This associate oversees service technicians, installation crews, and subcontractors to ensure all services are completed on time, to high-quality standards, and with maximum efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:- Collaborate with the Business Manager, sales team, service techs, install crews, and clients to ensure excellent communication, high-quality standards, and consistent performance.
- Ensure daily administrative tasks (i.e. review of expense receipts, time approval, time off review, etc.) are completed promptly and accurately.
- Schedule, manage, motivate and oversee internal crews and other professionals (sub partners).
- Conduct daily job site visits to ensure quality standards, resolve technical issues, and promote team collaboration.
- Lead, train, and mentor internal staff while managing subcontractors to deliver exceptional work that meets safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Monitor crew performance through regular observations and using project deliverables and relevant metrics to conduct performance evaluations.
- Train service technicians in core water management services such as spring start-ups, site inspections, and winterizations.
- Work with the sales team to assess estimates and change orders on contracts in a timely manner.
- Perform seasonal snow and ice removal tasks during winter months.
- Plowing, shoveling, salt applications, and various other duties as assigned.
- Supervise or manage areas/zones as requested or desired with direction from snow management team.
- Ability to work flexible hours during snow events is required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, with responsibilities and tasks subject to change as needed.
- Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of irrigation experience, including service, troubleshooting, installation, and system diagnostics required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Landscape industry preferred.
- Strong effective communication and time management skills.
- Must have a valid driver's license, and an insurable driving record.
- Preferred skills include computer proficiency, creative problem-solving, personnel management, organizational ability, and strong customer service experience.
- Bilingual
- Spanish a plus. - Educational Requirements:
Four-year College or University program degree or certificate; or four (or more) years related experience and/or training.
Must be able to lift/carry materials up to 50lbs on a regular and consistent basis, move about the work site. Requires extended periods of activity including, walking, standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting, up to 100% of a workday.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:Exposed to exterior elements (i.e., pollen, chemicals, cold and heat etc.). External environment with all weather and terrain exposure.
SCHEDULE:- Landscape Season (March
- December):
Workload will be heavy, during landscape season, you will work between 55-60 hours/week. This may include Saturdays and Holidays as production demands. - Snow Season (January
- March):
During snow season, you will work a minimum of 24-32 hours/week. This may include overnights, holidays, or weekends as the weather is unpredictable.
