Position Summary: This position is primarily responsible for providing machine shop service including drilling, milling, turning, boring, reaming, and general machining as required. Fabricate and maintain jigs, fixtures and prototype tooling from sketches, drawings, and verbal information. Assist in maintaining model shop and provide maintenance to all shop equipment as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general machining services to support all aspects of engineering, manufacturing, research, and development, or to support customer orders
  • Assist in maintaining and organizing model shop and all related equipment to be as efficient as possible to meet engineering and manufacturing's needs
  • Manufacture tools, jigs and fixtures including prototype development and procurement.
  • Assist with setup and testing/debugging of tools
  • Positions, secures, measures, and works metal stock or materials to lay out for machining.
  • Verifies machined components for conformance to specifications. Must perform skilled fitting, adjusting and/or timing as needed
  • Organize and maintain storage area for tools, raw stock, fasteners and measuring equipment
  • Maintain, repair, and refurbish in house tools, jigs, and fixtures
  • Recommend and specify upgrades on shop equipment as required
  • Assist the engineers in the conceptualization of new fixtures
  • Assist in the quotation process for new or modified fixtures
  • Complies with company, quality, and safety standards, policies, and procedures
Must Have
  • Minimum of 3 years technical training or equivalent experience in a tool machine/machine shop environment
  • Ability to setup, operate and maintain equipment, including:
    Bridgeport, Lathe, Surface grinder, Cut-off saw, Inspection devices
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and illustrations
  • Familiarity with mechanical and hydraulic punch presses
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
Nice to Have / Preferred
  • CNC machining experience
Shift

5:00AM - 3:30PM, Monday-Thursday

Salary

$63,000 to $75,000/annual (paid hourly), experience and qualification based
