Machine Finishing Operator

The Machine Finishing Operator is responsible for the set up and operation of several light duty pieces of equipment. These inclued guillotine cutters, perforators, folders, and/or other print bindry style equipment. This role also provides leadership of additional catching staff brought to the area.

• Set up and operate basic machine finishing equipment like guillotine cutters (Polar or equivalent),
  perforator
  , or other light duty equipment.
• Assist other machine operators by gathering and maintaining needed supplies specific to running jobs, aiding operators with machines set-up
• Provide line support or catching of product as it is run on equipment.

• Provides sample check and review of in-process and completed work for quality assurance purposes.

• Assists with coordinating, training supporting additional staffing needed to properly catch and package

• Accurately documents time, materials, product quality and other records

Some key must-haves are:

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write legibly, follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Level of work activity is usually heavy involving lifting and exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally with the aid of lifting equipment, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
