As a Logistics & Materials Specialist you will be responsible for supporting the implementation and improvement of supply‑chain processes, machinery and equipment, and storage plans for Caterpillar Paving Products at the Brooklyn Park Facility. The position reports to the Supply Chain Engineering manager.

This role supports Supply Chain Engineers from a technical and execution perspective on the implementation and improvement of supply‑chain projects and processes. In a support capacity, this assignment supports production or New Product Introduction (NPI) projects led by the Supply Chain Engineer or Packaging Engineer. The candidate should also be familiar with inventory management systems and be able to integrate these into their activities.

The position includes a total extended wage of $28.35 per hour plus a comprehensive Day‑One Benefit program. Paid weekly. Paid time‑off:
Vacation/PTO, holiday, and Winter Holiday. 401(k) matching and an additional 2–5% annual company contribution to 401(k) s.

Openings available on 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 06:00 a.m. – 02:00 p.m. Overtime opportunities may be available on a voluntary basis based on business needs and with leader prior authorization. All initial communication and status updates will be via email.

The job duties for this role will implement successful supply‑chain solutions. To be successful, this position must utilize technical skills and soft skills described below.

• Standardize warehouse storage and manufacturing point‑of‑use (POU) presentation including labeling
• Inventory transfer and rearrangement planning and execution
• Material handling standard work documentation enhancements
• Monitoring of returnable rack repair queues (including replacement materials stocking)
• Data purification and analysis including SAP control cycles and kanbans

• Minimum of 1 year experience in one of the following areas:
  Material Specialist, Shipper, Receiver, Lead, or equivalent experience materials in a highly collaborative environment
• Minimum of 1 year experience with an ERP system (Mach1, SAP, or other) including material movements and transactions
• Intermediate computer skills (including MS Office/Excel)
• Minimum 1 year experience operating material handling equipment – prior certification (e.g., counterbalance, turret, reach, picker)

• Prior Caterpillar Paving experience
• Associate's degree or two‑year technical degree or certificate
• Previous expertise in supply chain
• Strong safety mindset
• Strong communication skills
• Proactive work ethic

In this role you will be on your feet and active, or sitting, for a minimum of 8‑hour shifts and frequently lifting a maximum of 35 pounds. Our manufacturing facility is a clean environment with frequently changing temperatures that may require climbing on equipment, machines, ladders, and various step stools to work at different heights. Operate material handling equipment (e.g., counterbalance, turret, reach truck, picker).
