Melt Supervisor

This is a 1st shift position.

Compensation Details:
The expected rate of pay for this position is between $70,000 - $87,000 Annual, depending on experience.

• Supervise melt operations on assigned shift by setting goals, organizing and assigning work, training employees, and maintaining a productive work environment in order to meet established production schedules.
• Maintain conformance to company policies, procedures, work rules and regulations.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise daily melt operations.
• Develop and maintain a safe work environment.
• Train employees on safety, quality, and job specific tasks.
• Review and evaluate employee performances on safety, quality, attendance, and job performance.
• Counsel, coach, or discipline, when necessary, to improve performance or correct behavior.
• Assist in planning and direct and coordinate major equipment rebuilds and relines.
• Assist in the following: budget, inventory control, cost control, investigation of new methods, and materials.
• Proper use and maintenance of test equipment.
• Maintain an adequate amount of raw materials, supplies, and tools to support production levels.
• Possess troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Maintain open communication with department head, department peers, team members, and other departments.
• Strive to continuously improve methods, processes, and tools, etc. that will result in improvements on safety, quality, and production.
• Must be willing and able to wear all required PPE.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Experience:
  
  Three to Five years’ experience.
• Good problem‑solving skills.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
