Job Description
Performs calibrations and maintains the calibration scheduling system to conform to facility requirements. Coordinates instrument re‑certification with outside standards laboratories, which includes performing incoming inspections and documentation reviews on these instruments. Maintains Metrology Department: routine laboratory cleaning, filing paperwork, maintaining equipment manuals.
How You Will Contribute- Follows sequence of testing from calibration procedures for instruments and equipment and ensures all tasks are performed in compliance with applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
- Sets up standard and special purpose laboratory equipment to test, evaluate, and calibrate other instruments and test equipment.
- Efficiently manages scheduled calibrations to optimize resources and minimize impact to manufacturing.
- Maintains calibrations scheduling in a computerized metrology management system.
- Identifies inefficiencies in the metrology program and implements solutions to drive toward cost‑effective calibrations and processes.
- Completes mandatory training within the required timeframe.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- AS or BS in a technically related field, or equivalent preferred.
- 1-5 years of relevant experience within the field of Metrology preferred.
- Working knowledge of cGMP guidelines, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, 210/211, ISO 14644 and 17025; and other international regulatory requirements preferred.
- Demonstrates initiative; ability to follow SOPs and direction and respond to situations as they arise.
- Must be able to break down complex systems and tasks into activities capable of being performed by personnel.
- Must function independently and as part of a group to ensure all Metrology related activities are completed on time and in accordance with all applicable regulations and procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in verbal and written form.

- Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet and body. This may include additional hearing protection for loud areas.
- Remove all makeup, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
- Work in a cold, wet environment.
- Work multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours as necessary.
- Work around chemicals such as alcohol, acids, buffers and Celite that may require respiratory protection.

U.S. Hourly Wage Range$21.59 - $33.90
The estimated hourly wage range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
