The Senior Molding Technician (LIM/LSR) position is responsible for the setup, operation, troubleshooting, and optimization of Liquid Injection Molding (LIM) and Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) molding equipment used to manufacture high-quality medical device components in a regulated cleanroom environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring production meets safety, quality, productivity, and on‑time delivery requirements.

The Sr. Molding Technician is a technical resource for the manufacturing team by providing guidance to operators, supporting engineering initiatives, assisting with process improvements, and helping resolve manufacturing and equipment issues. The position requires independent decision‑making, strong technical aptitude, and a commitment to continuous improvement and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot LIM/LSR injection and transfer silicone molding presses along with associated equipment
• Perform Installation Qualification (IQ) activities by ensuring molding presses are configured according to engineering specifications and validation protocols
• Establish production processes using approved machine programs, travelers, parameter sheets, and work instructions
• Follow all machine startup, shutdown, and operational procedures while maintaining a safe work environment
• Perform workstation setup using established tooling and validated process parameters
• Operate molding equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining productivity goals
• Assist with preventive maintenance activities and support facility‑related equipment projects as needed

• Perform in‑process inspections in accordance with Process Control Documents, drawings, and work instructions
• Accurately complete molding travelers and maintain all production documentation using Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
• Recognize quality concerns and promptly communicate issues to Quality Assurance or Production Leadership
• Comply with all company quality systems, cGMP requirements, safety policies, and standard operating procedures
• Assist in maintaining and improving Process Control Documents, Parameter Sheets, Work Instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures

• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Production teams to troubleshoot technical issues
• Assist engineers with process development, parameter adjustments, tooling evaluations, and product development activities
• Document engineering trials and development work accurately
• Provide recommendations regarding tooling design, equipment improvements, processing methods, programming requirements, and inspection techniques
• Assist with the development of manufacturing costs, processes, and documentation for new or modified products

• Be a SME for lower‑level molding operators and manufacturing personnel
• Communicate production status, priorities, and expectations during shift transitions
• Promote teamwork and collaboration across production shifts
• Perform assigned responsibilities independently with minimal supervision

• Manage material transactions by accurately scanning materials into and out of the ERP/MRP system
