Pride Engineering
, a Pro Mach product brand, is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for their Brooklyn Park, Minnesota location. The Manufacturing Engineer will utilize their knowledge of lean principles to help provide strategy and lead improvement activities across operations. The role is responsible for improving and sustaining production efficiencies while achieving safety, quality, and operational performance goals.
- Excellent understanding of lean manufacturing concepts and their practical application.
- Take ownership of new and existing manufacturing processes, incorporating automation where necessary.
- Drive research, justification for, and implementation of capital investments.
- Create and maintain product bills of materials and work instructions.
- Provide technical guidance in specifying and implementing capital improvements
- Identify value-add and non-value-add process steps. Introduce automation into the process as necessary to maximize equipment utilization.
- Apply machining expertise to help identify and select equipment suited for our products.
- Lead improvement activities in manufacturing by helping develop metrics, reviewing resources, troubleshooting/problem solving production flow issues, initiating process improvements, and training documentation.
- Initiate and update production steps/routings & bills of materials, providing clear instruction for manufacturing pride engineering products.
- B.S in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related field 4-year degree from an accredited university and 5+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of lean manufacturing principles and tools.
- Experience with automation in a tight-tolerance machining environment.
- Experience in a high-precision machining environment: CNC Lathes, 5-axis Milling, Wire EDM, Precision Grinding (Rotary, /OD) is preferred.
- Experience in specifying and justification of capital purchases is also desired.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite Products.
