Caterpillar - - Responsibilities:
Interpret metric drawings using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (GD&T) to setup fixtures, tack and weld components in horizontal and flat positions using welding gun, cutting torches, carbon arc and other fabrication tools.;
Weld components per American Welding Society (AWS) standards and engineering/manufacturing prints and documentation.;
May operate CNC machining equipment and robots following manufacturing prints and documentation; set up and operate equipment/cranes with stops, clamps, fixtures, tooling, and offsets.;
Use measuring devices and blueprints to inspect parts for quality using SPC for documentation.;
Utilize hand tools, grinders, and other deburring tools to remove sharp edges from machine surfaces.
