The Moll Operator is responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate operation of Moll machines to produce high-quality printed materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:- Set up, calibrate, and operate Moll finishing equipment, such as folder-gluers and other post-press machines.
- Monitor the production process to ensure printed materials meet quality standards and client requirements.
- Read and fulfill job tickets.
- Monitor machine operation to detect any issues or malfunctions and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards.
- Label loads.
- Fulfill paperwork requirements.
- Align daily workload with production schedule.
- Collaborate with production team to ensure timely completion of orders and meet production needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on Moll machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years operating Moll or similar equipment.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Familiarity and/or previous experience with other bindery equipment.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and quality control procedures.
- Basic computer skills and experience with Monarch ERP software or similar enterprise resource planning systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, layouts, and job tickets.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise machine operation.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials or equipment, up to 50 pounds.
