Occupational Health Nurse

Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with flexibility to start and end earlier

Salary: $85,000-$105,000 annually

Occupational Health Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse (RN) to support employee health, workplace safety, and wellness initiatives at a manufacturing facility in Crookston, Minnesota. This position provides occupational and non-occupational case management, first aid treatment, return-to-work coordination, safety training, and emergency response preparation.

The Occupational Health Nurse will collaborate closely with employees, Human Resources, factory leadership, and safety management to promote a safe, healthy, and productive work environment. Limited support for additional factory locations may be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational and non-occupational medical case management.
• Coordinate return-to-work programs to reduce lost workdays and workers’ compensation costs.
• Review and approve qualifying Family and Medical Leave Act requests while ensuring compliance with federal regulations and company policies.
• Maintain close communication with Human Resources regarding employee health and leave matters.
• Provide first aid treatment and appropriate follow-up care for employees.
• Coordinate workplace safety and health training with factory management.
• Assist with annual employee training related to OSHA requirements, Right to Know, ergonomics, personal protective equipment, and company safety policies.
• Develop procedures and training programs for Emergency Response Teams.
• Train and support employees serving on Emergency Response Teams.
• Evaluate workplace needs and recommend appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Coordinate and conduct employee health and wellness programs.
• Build professional working relationships with employees, managers, Human Resources, and safety leadership.
• Complete special projects and additional occupational health duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license

• At least five years of related nursing or occupational health experience.
• Knowledge of industrial health practices.
• Experience with workers’ compensation case management and return-to-work programs.
• Knowledge of QRC processes or related rehabilitation coordination.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
• Ability to develop and deliver effective employee training programs.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional relationships at all organizational levels.
• Willingness to provide very infrequent on-call telephone support when needed.

Preferred Experience

• Occupational health nursing experience in a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, operations, or warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, ergonomics, PPE requirements, FMLA administration, and workplace safety programs.
• Experience training Emergency Response Teams or coordinating workplace wellness programs.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an annual salary of $85,000–$105,000
, based on experience and qualifications.
