Key Responsibilities
- Knowledgeable in the use of measurement equipment such as Vernier meters, micrometers, durometers, and other precision instruments.
- Experience with vision‑based coordinate measuring machine (CMM) systems such as Smartscope, OGP, and Hexagon.
- Creates and verifies programs for automated inspection equipment.
- Trains inspection and operations personnel on equipment usage and program execution.
- Maintains, repairs, or modifies measurement systems and equipment as required.
- Develops and executes testing methods, applying sampling plans.
- Ensures controls for products and process designs are in place, compiling or completing quality records, reports, and documentation with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Coordinates complex testing according to procedures or engineering direction.
- Performs failure analysis and troubleshooting when necessary.
- Recommends appropriate gauges and other measurement equipment for product or part assessment.
- Participates in problem solving and provides input for process/product evaluations to support continuous improvement.
- Recommends, assembles, and installs equipment, apparatus, and processes for production, product development, inspection, and testing.
- Ensures all equipment is calibrated and meets current standards.
- Performs inspections in accordance with authorized specifications and applicable quality standards.
- Suggests improvements to existing work instructions to enhance quality, clarity, or efficiency.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- Provides leadership by coordinating the activities of other technicians, reporting progress and metrics to management, and mentoring team members.
- Expands skill base through on‑the‑job training, cross‑training, and classroom instruction.
- Provides support, data, and analysis to other departments as needed.
- Supports performance reviews and talent calibration processes.
- Ensures alignment with corporate strategic initiatives, proactively drives improvements in product and process quality, and escalates quality non‑conformances to achieve company objectives.
- Adheres to core beliefs, safety and quality requirements, and applicable regulations within the quality management system (QMS).
- Embeds quality into daily work, ensuring adherence to the QMS, contributing to corrective and preventive actions, and supporting the achievement of quality KPIs and the 5‑Sigma journey.

Qualifications- High school graduate or equivalent (associate degree or related experience is preferred).
- 8–10 years of experience in manufacturing or a regulated industry.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality standards.
- Strong computer operation skills.
- Proficiency reading and interpreting drawings and print documentation.
- Proficiency using measurement tools and hand gauges for physical dimension assessment (e.g., pin gauge, caliper, optical comparator).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
$28.16‑$41.30 per hour.
