Velosity Brooklyn Park

Searching for a Quality Inspector to support our manufacturing facility Brooklyn Park, MN on the 3rd shift. The Quality Inspector is responsible for executing quality plans, sampling plans, and control plans for incoming, in‑process, and final inspection requirements. The role includes maintaining inspection status, product traceability, nonconforming material control, and supporting other Quality System activities. When required, the position will initiate material hold, conduct nonconformance investigations, and execute approved material dispositions.

This is an on‑site position.

Shift: Sunday‑Thursday 11:00 pm – 7:00 am

The typical pay range for this role: $22.00 – $29.00 (eligible for a 5% quarterly bonus target).

Essential Duties
  • Identify quality and compliance issues related to product, processes, and records; escape issues and identify affected items.
  • Work with Quality Engineering to initiate holds and nonconformance records for the affected product.
  • Perform receiving inspection, in‑process, and lot acceptance activities as required by the applicable Quality System process.
  • Follow dispatch reports or other inspection priority lists to ensure completed inspections meet rate and throughput expectations.
  • Verify materials, components, and products meet quality specifications both visually and dimensionally in accordance with specifications or other Quality System requirements.
  • Produce accurate records of completed inspections and accurate descriptions of nonconformance issues when required.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the required activities of at least two of the areas: incoming receiving, in‑process, or lot acceptance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED – General Studies.
  • Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.
  • Certificate in Machine Trades or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in quality inspection.
  • 2+ years of experience, preferably in a Medical Device or Component manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic Quality Systems (nonconformance, equipment calibration).
  • Knowledge and understanding of inspection standards.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend and follow work instructions in English.
  • Ability to use a computer.
  • Ability to use hand tools.
  • Good manual dexterity and visual ability with high attention to detail.
Physical & Mental Demands
  • Walking, sitting, standing, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, and fingers are physical requirements. Must have correctable eyesight and good depth perception. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to walk, sit, and occasionally climb and balance. Must be able to lift 30 pounds and move objects safely using proper equipment.

    Must have dexterity with hands.
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them within a timely manner; ability to make decisions with limited information.
Work Environment

This is a non‑smoking, professional manufacturing shop with normal lighting and climate control. The position may require movement throughout the shop and office and may expose an employee to airborne contaminants and chemical odors common in an injection molding/precision…
