Responsibilities
- Maintain and grow billable value in assigned accounts, preventing account losses and expanding value by selling permanent new waste streams, services, and products to current and prospective customers.
- Initiate and nurture business-to‑business sales relationships.
- Prospect and close sales opportunities to reach budgeted goals through sound selling strategies.
- Develop prospect development plans and keep accurate prospect information in the database; maintain a robust sales pipeline to meet new sales targets.
- Minimize revenue loss by upholding SSDO relationship health standards and addressing cancellation requests; meet or exceed proactive account retention call activity goals.
- Increase revenue and profitability via effective retention plans that improve customer service and profitability.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Propose compliant solutions that meet local, state, and federal regulations; collaborate with Area Sales Managers to resolve unique customer issues.
- Understand customer needs, pricing, and competition to communicate pricing and service strategies; proactively refer internal Win‑Market opportunities where appropriate.
- Acquire deep industry and company knowledge to prepare complex proposals and recommend equipment optimization and leasing options.
- Stay current with internal sales strategies, operational capabilities, and external market trends.
- Collaborate closely with Plant Managers and Brokerage Account Managers to upgrade materials, increase profitability, and achieve plant goals.
- Bachelor's Degree (accredited) or, alternatively, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) plus 4 years of related work experience.
- Four years of direct B2B sales experience, including cold calling and phone‑based prospecting.
