Position Overview

As an Account Manager, you will manage existing customers within assigned industry verticals, expand relationships, identify cross‑sell and upsell opportunities, and lead the full sales process from needs analysis to contract closure. You will collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, and Service teams to ensure customer success and drive growth in service sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage assigned existing customers and expansion opportunities.
  • Maintain and grow cross‑sell and upsell relationships.
  • Guide the entire sales cycle, from needs analysis through contract negotiation and closing.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Project Management, Engineering, Service, Pre‑Sales, Technical) to deliver solutions.
  • Develop offers and negotiate pricing and terms with customers.
  • Coordinate with Applications Engineer and Project Managers on change orders.
  • Perform deep customer manufacturing strategy analysis and maintain knowledge of competitive landscape.
  • Serve as the internal voice of the customer, escalating risks and opportunities early.
  • Build and execute multi‑year account plans aligned with customer road‑maps and investment cycles.
  • Create and maintain qualified funnel in CRM, including structured needs clarification, quote creation, and opportunity pipeline.
  • Produce revenue forecasts, sales reports, and market analysis reports.
  • Drive leads and opportunities through the L2Q process and quotation desk.
  • Travel as required, including potential domestic and international trips.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of account management, technical sales, business development, or customer relationship experience in automation, industrial equipment, or manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to grow existing accounts via cross‑sell, upsell, and service opportunities while meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of customer technical challenges and complex sales cycles, including needs analysis, solution development, proposal creation, pricing, and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong business acumen, ability to understand manufacturing processes, automation strategies, and capital investment plans.
  • Project management skills, with ability to handle multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales forecasting tools; commitment to accurate data entry.
  • Self‑motivated, customer‑focused, analytical, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel and work additional hours to meet project requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • U.S. work authorization without the need for visa sponsorship.
Physical & Environmental Requirements

Full body mobility required: bend, stoop, climb, lift, move 25 lbs.

Ability to walk within restricted areas of the manufacturing plant.

Professional hygiene and dress conduct.

Ability to read and prepare business documents and conduct business over the telephone in a sustained loud environment.

Ability to sit or stand for long periods.

Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record as defined by HAHN Automation Group US’s insurance company.
