HVAC​/R Service Technician

• Operate and troubleshoot HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including RTUs, mini‑split systems, racks, condensing units, and self‑contained refrigeration units.
• Install equipment or parts and perform general maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Conduct basic HVAC/R tasks such as changing filters, coil washing, and troubleshooting.
• Communicate with customers, demonstrating decisiveness, initiative, tact, judgment, and integrity.
• Work both supervised and unsupervised, completing assigned jobs efficiently and profitably.

• Perform duties assigned by a supervisor.
• Progressively take on more technical roles as experience grows.

• Member of Local 455 or Local 539, or willing to join the union.
• Completed or currently pursuing a 2‑year degree in HVAC/R.
• EPA certified for refrigerant handling.
• PLT license or registered as a Registered Unlicensed PLT; if not, must apply within 90 days of start date.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Clean, professional appearance.
• Current driver’s license.
• Commitment to ongoing HVAC/R skill development through study, workshops, and other activities.

• Lift up to 100pounds as needed and up to 50pounds repeatedly.
• Climb ladders while carrying tools, equipment, or parts safely.

• Union wage scale and benefits (Local
  455 and Local
  539).
